Dark Future: Mirai no Gohan

It's safe to say that the first thing that made Mirai no Son Gohan's life rather depressing was his father's death from the heart virus, followed by the death of basically all of his friends besides Buruma to the jinzouningen. Gohan once mentioned that it had been Pikoro and Kuririn's deaths that had given him the anguish and anger to transform into a super saiyajin.

It's unknown what Gohan did in the 13 year gap between the Z-senshi's deaths and when he trained Trunks. We can only guess that he trained and fought the jinzouningen every now and then.

Gohan went behind Buruma's back and began to train Trunks when Trunks was 13 years old. Trunks idolized "Gohan-san" like an older brother, and I think that Gohan thought of Trunks like a younger brother.

Gohan knocked Trunks out when he went to fight his last battle with the jinzouningen. The jinzouningen mused about how the down poor of rain was the perfect setting for his demise. Gohan kept on saying that even if he were to die, there would be someone else (Trunks) who would defeat them. Although it is rumored that Gohan was stronger than the androids, there were two of them and only one of him. To add to it, he only had one arm. In the end, the jinzouningen basically blasted him to death. ;_;

After regaining conciousness, Trunks went searching for Gohan. Upon seeing Gohan's corpse (which was in a puddle of water), Trunks screamed that he was his best friend and transformed into a super saiyajin (small fact: In the manga, Trunks was already a super saiyajin before Gohan died).

Yes, this is a page about Mirai no Gohan, not Mirai no Trunks, but I felt like including this part. After fighting the jinzouningen serveral years after Gohan's death, Buruma tells him to go to the past to deliver the medicine to Gokuh and to warn the past Z-senshi about the jinzouningen. Before leaving, Trunks thought about how it would be nice to see Gohan-san again.
